Lab and Resources
SMDA has been working overtime to improve computer resources throughout the
school. Technology is seen as a tool to improve traditional learning, create new
opportunities and make our people more efficient.
All classrooms are equipped with a handful of student workstations in
addition to the teacher's workstation. Thanks to a bit of luck, a lot of begging
and borrowing and maybe a smidgen of stealing (just kidding), all teachers are
currently have a laptop at their disposal with docking station, full sized
monitor, keyboard and mouse at their desk. All classrooms are also printer
equipped.
 The
entire school is networked allowing resource sharing like printers and files.
The network also provides filtered Internet access to all computers. Teachers
and staff have individual email addresses, if you need to contact someone, you
can find their information on the Contact Us page.
 Finally,
SMDA boasts one of the most advanced computer labs in the area. Complete with
enough workstations for each child in any classroom, projection system with a
SMART Board for enhanced instruction. The lab also doubles as a multimedia
theater for DVD, VHS and Internet resources complete with surround sound.
